A couple months ago, I tried on a dress by David’s Bridal that I was potentially considering for my reception. While I’m still unsure if I’ll be wearing a second dress on my Wedding Day, it’s something I’m definitely considering – it will all depend on dress number one, once I find it! However, when I tried on the dress, I was left so inspired, that I had to go back to their store to try on more dresses.
I went to the David’s Bridal store in Culver City. I was kindly greeted by the staff and they welcomed me with opened arms. My reason for my visit was initially to look at other second dress options; however, I found myself browsing for wedding dresses! I was getting so excited going through the aisles and being inspired by all their beautiful fabrics and styles. I was thinking to myself, “oh this could be the dress!” “this can be the one!” “I have to try this one on!” – I was literally like a little girl at a candy store! To my surprise, I found myself drawn to more of their minimalist and casual (non-traditional) dresses.
I tried on three dresses that were similar but different. There was something in each dress that I was discovering I loved and had to have for “the one” – I was taking notes and slowly drawing out my dream dress in my mind.
I have to say, I was amazed by David’s Bridal wedding dresses – their fabrics, quality, fit, and styles were so good and very on-trend! Although, I didn’t find “the one” on this day, I left the store more inspired than ever. My whole experience being there made me feel a sense of self-empowerment and more overall confident in what I’m looking for. I just know it, I’m getting closer to finding my dress!
Below are the three wedding dresses I tried on with notes about what I loved for each:
1. The first dress is a V-neck lace and has a mermaid illusion. This was one of my favorites! I loved the fit, it was breathable, and it complimented my figure. I find lace to be very effortlessly sexy and sophisticated. These are two elements I’m looking for in a dress.
2. The second dress is also a V-neck dress with beaded sheath. I loved the simplicity of this dress, it wasn’t overly sparkly. Sometimes less is more! Something about this dress reminded me of Jennifer Aniston – ish! And I LOVE her style, so this was a bonus for me. It also had a goddess-y vibe about it, so if my wedding takes place in Greece, it will surely give me greek goddess vibes, especially if I decide to wear a headband to go with it.
3. The third dress has soft lace and a very low back. The soft lace felt light against my skin and had a sense of romance to it. A low back is something I love in a dress, perhaps not as low or maybe? I just know I definitely know I’d love to show some back. This dress was also simplistic but not too simple. It was comfortable, fitted, effortlessly sexy, and chic – all the words that describe what I’m looking for in a dress!
